Description
This 2-hour session gives new leaders a structured, evidence-based route to integrating quickly using the U.S. Army’s Team Building Model (ATB), a proven framework built around Formation, Enrichment, and Sustainment.
We begin with Formation, exploring how a leader’s early actions shape trust, clarity, and psychological safety. Leaders learn how to reduce uncertainty by setting operating norms, clarifying expectations, and communicating priorities with precision. This section includes live exercises to help leaders understand how their behaviour is interpreted in the first days and weeks.
The session then moves into Enrichment, diving into the interpersonal and cognitive patterns that influence team cohesion. Leaders use structured tools to understand existing team dynamics, identify friction points, strengthen shared mental models, and surface hidden assumptions. We explore influence skills, emotional signalling, and techniques for creating more productive cross-functional relationships.
In the final phase, Sustainment, leaders build repeatable routines that maintain alignment over time. We look at feedback loops, decision boundaries, meeting rhythms, and communication habits that drive consistency and support early wins. Leaders leave with a clear, personalised plan for their first 30–90 days, grounded in practical psychological principles and ATB methodology.
