Leadership in Complexity
Leaders

Leadership confidence can shift even after years of successful experience.
Promotion, organisational change, prolonged scrutiny, conflict, failure or an unfamiliar environment can unsettle a leader’s sense of authority. At other times, confidence can become overly dependent on certainty, control or external validation.
Our work explores what strengthens and undermines confidence for the individual leader. This may involve understanding internal narratives, patterns of self-doubt, expectations of senior leadership, relationships with authority or the impact of previous experiences.
The goal is not simply to make someone feel more confident. It is to develop a more grounded form of leadership confidence: the ability to trust one’s judgement, communicate clearly, tolerate uncertainty and remain receptive to challenge and new information.
In practice, this often creates stronger presence, more decisive leadership and greater ease in difficult conversations.
