Decision Making & Judgement
Leaders

Effective leadership requires both consistency and adaptability.
Psychological flexibility is the capacity to remain connected to what matters while adjusting thoughts, behaviour and responses when circumstances change.
Under pressure, leaders can become attached to particular interpretations, avoid difficult experiences or continue using approaches that previously worked but are no longer effective. Success itself can sometimes reinforce habits that become harder to question.
Our work helps leaders notice these patterns and create greater choice in how they respond. This may involve recognising automatic reactions, working differently with difficult thoughts or emotions, reconnecting with values and experimenting with alternative behaviours.
The aim is not to remove uncomfortable thoughts or feelings. It is to help leaders prevent those experiences from automatically determining their actions.
Greater psychological flexibility can support adaptability, resilience, decision-making and more deliberate leadership behaviour.
